Get to know Genevieve
GENEVIEVE BEDDINGFIELD is pursuing her dream of teaching young people with art. She has worked as a freelance theatre teaching artist in NYC public schools and as an Artisitter for Sitters Studio. Currently, Genevieve is a head teacher at Cassatt Studio, an arts-based curriculum preschool. Genevieve graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South with a BA in Theatre and a minor in Education. She is trained in the Jacque Lecoq style of clowning, a movement based style that is all about play. She has experience working with children who have Downs Syndrome and autism. She worked with several Children’s Theaters: Nashville Children’s Theatre, Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, and Lexington Children’s Theatre. With her passion for working in the arts with young people, Genevieve loves jumping into their imaginations to create a new worlds and tell stories.

HUNTER KAUFER is a New York-based performer and director. NY Performing Credits include: Death of a Shoe Salesman (Cop 1), Electro Danse Stop Erryting (British Prime Minister), and [The Show] (The Man). Hunter is also currently curating and developing his clown, Unplanned Dennis Surprise. Other credits include: Small Town Story (The Barn, Assistant Director/Stage Manager), For Tonight (NYMF, Associate Director), Bacchae (Envelope Ensemble, Director), Him (Primary Stages, Production Assistant). SUSAYE LAWSON is thrilled to be performing with the cast and crew of Treasure in NYC. She recently completed a national tour of Hair, playing a featured ensemble role and understudying Hud. Other theatre credits include: The Buddy Holly Story (Apollo Singer); Hairspray (Dynamite/Ensemble); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck); Jungalbook (Kaa/Grey). For the past several years, she has worked in New York City as an actress, singer, and teaching artist.

CHRIS STECKEL is the Technical Director of Kaiser's Room and is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College where he majored in Stage Management and Lighting Design. AT MMC Chris worked on Betty's Summer Vacation (ASM), RAGS (ASM), The Arsonists (PSM), Triumph of Love (ALD), Columbinus (LD), and Footloose (LD). Chris also has had the opportunity to work with Second Stage; The Bad Guys, The Other Thing, King Liz (Lighting Crew), and Warrior Class (PA). Chris has had the opportunity to work with Hip to Hip Theatre Company on The Tempest/Love Labour's Lost (SM) and the York Theatre on Once Upon A Mattress (LD). As a resident artist of the cell, Chris has worked on such productions as McGoldrick's Thread (ASM), Hard Times: An American Musical (ASM), and An American Family Takes A Lover (PSM), The Biscuit Club (ASM/Asst. LAURA VOLPACCHIO has been a dancer and creative her entire life. She grew up training extensively in dance and has danced and modeled professionally in NYC since coming to the big apple to attend NYU Gallatin in 2007. Credits include regional shows, national tours, Film/TV and commercial work. For more about that, visit www.lauravolpacchio.com. Laura is passionate about using dance & art to heal and realized she needed to work regularly with kids after spending a few weeks volunteering in Vietnam. She taught English, danced around in the dirt, sang songs, and made lots of little friends by communicating with hand gestures. Laura currently teaches dance to preschoolers at Hudson Guild and is an assistant teacher for KR Dance. She is proud to be a part of The Global Dance Initiative, a new non-profit aiming to support dancers who are using their art to heal.

JASON WILLIAMS is beyond excited to be joining the Kaiser's room company! He is a NY based actor and is a veteran of kids entertainment. He has performed in mutiple live musical versions of kid's cartoons including, Dora the Explorer Live! As "Boots the Monkey", Go Diego Go Live! as "Rescue Pack" and Madagascar Live! as "Skipper the Penguin." Currently, he teaches tumbling and fitness at a gym for kids called My Gym and also teaches cooking classes for kids with the company Kulinary Kids.
